Here we go.....

Ashley went in for her 39th week check up this morning. Everything is tracking very normal. He was active and Ash is doing great. The only hiccup was Ashley's fluids were a little on the low end. Dr. Hartman is going to evaluate her on Monday. He will more than likely induce Ash then, using a slower method that will likely produce delivery on Tuesday. Ashley will come home and then "report" to Mckay Dee on Tuesday - February 3rd, 2009 - for the big day. Of course, this entire plan is completely dependant upon Brother following the itinerary. Either way we are getting very close to welcoming the newest addition!!! Because of the excitement I'd like to have a serious moment and then a comical one. Please enjoy:

(COLBY JR. or COLBY NASH TO REES)
Sister, Please Hold My Hand
Sister, please hold my hand
As we journey through this land
Together we stand, together we will fall
No matter what, God will keep us together
That will be the best of all
Sister, please hold my hand
Because without you I can't stand
For we were put on this earth for a reason
To go through every good and bad season
Sister, please hold my hand
As our strength, together, builds each other to become strong
So that our love for each other will last long
----Unknown

(REES TO COLBY JR. or COLBY NASH)
LIFE GAVE ME A LITTLE BROTHER
Life gave me a little brother to teach me about life.
He loves me,
Aggravates me,
and gives me strength and strife.
Thank goodness for my brother
He is as special as can be
Don't mess with my little brother- or you'll have to mess with me!
----Unknown

(MOM TO COLBY JR. or COLBY NASH)
A NOTE TO MY SON
Time is moving slowly, The day is almost here.
The anxiety and joy is building up, For my baby boy will soon appear.
I can't wait to see your smiling face, And hold your little hand.
Just then I'll know deep inside that you’re my little man.
I have so much to share with you day after day.
And to you my son I will give my love in each and every way.
----Dacia Lockwood

(DAD TO COLBY JR. or COLBY NASH)
LITTLE BABY BOY
He is my little baby boy.
A boy so loved and comforted in life, who thinks that one day this little boy might have a wife? When he sleeps a calm peace sweeps him away, the sight of his sweet little face makes you want to proudly say That's MY baby boy, and I love him SOO much.
So smart for a boy of two, he knows what a cow looks like and can make noises like one too! When he plays with his toys he makes the biggest smile, makes it double the worth to watch him all the while.
Sometimes he screams and it hurts so bad, but to hold him in my arms I suddenly don't feel so sad.
But it's always worth it to me, to know he will make happy and beautiful memories, for me to look back at and see....... how happy this little boy made me!
Who knew one child could bring such love and joy to me?
When he gets older he will be the one to see, not only did he bring love, happiness, and laughter to me, he brought it to everyone he could possibly see.

Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery, Dr. Louis Morales, Jr.

Here is a link to "Good Day Utah", which is a local morning show that had a clip on Cleft Lip and Palate. Dr. Morales will likely be the surgeon we use for the little guy. Check it out and give us a hauler if anybody has any questions about the process...

The Holidays

As promised, here are some photos of the Holidays. We didn't take as many as we would have liked but that is what you get when you have to chase a 3 year old around on Christmas Morning.

Rees cleaned-up! She got a dollhouse from Santa, Nursery Center from the Bockwoldts, and Smart Cycle (Computer Game) from the Fowlers. Of course, she received about a million other gifts to keep her busy.

Colby spotted a few nice bucks up above our house so grabbed the snow shoes and dragged Jeff up and took a closer look. Grandma Becky was joking that Colby had to pull Jeff up with a rope so now Rees thinks Daddy pulled Grandpa up the mountain.
New Years Eve was very casual. We just made a nice steak dinner and rang in the New Year at home. I guess that is what you do when your 8 months pregnant and have a 3 year old.
God Bless Everyone this New Year! Here's to an memorable 2009!!

Ashley's Check Up

Ashley had her weekly check up this morning and we want to give an update:

Everything is copesthetict. We had a little worry about her blood pressure last week, but this week she was right in line. Colby attributes that to her not having her 1 cup of coffee this morning...What a sacrifice those Mom's Make!! She is currently 35 weeks along and beautifully pregnant. Tuesday the 6th of January we have our last visit with the neonatal specialist and the weekly OBGYN check-up. We'll try and give an update on Baby Boy's progression.

Colby's put some informative websites on the blog for everybody to educate themselves on what exactly a cleft is. We've learned a tremendous amount about the issue and hope everyone else does the same. Its going to be so AWESOME to meet this little guy! What a blessing having children is, then raising them is another deal...

Also as an update, we're still in negotiations for his name. Colby likes CJ (Colby Aaron Bockwoldt, Jr.), Ashley likes Colby Nash Bockwoldt, and Rees likes what ever Daddy can coax her into. Please email (cabockwoldt@hotmail.com) or comment on what you think would be a perfect name for such a special delivery.

We will follow this post with current photos of the holidays when we get them uploaded. We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. 2009 is going to be a great year!!!
